Family has always been a priority, but that priority has to shift when you get married. That means talking to your spouse, and not letting stress get in between you. Whether that’s work related stress, or just the constant stream of information that’s available to the phone in your pocket. You have to remember this is a relationship, so share – not just opinions and feelings, but a partnership. You have to be forgiving, because you’ll need them to be forgiving of you at some point. Make sure to keep an eye on both your boundaries, and your past. If you’re not careful, both could bite you in the ass.
Most of all, always be ready to put your pride aside and do whatever it takes to make them happy.
