While there have been plenty of studies touting the health and emotional benefits of engaging in regular smooch sessions with your significant other, kissing for purely romantic purposes is not a universal gesture. This post from Salon reveals the results of a new study that found that while all cultures kiss their children and babies, kissing for romantic or sexual reasons was in a minority.
