This post from Phys.org surveyed over 700 individuals who had been married for a total of 40,000 years to get some of the best pieces of advice for having a happy and healthy relationship with your spouse. One of the most important things that many couples stressed? Keeping an open line of communication at all times. Any issues that come up, big or small, can and should be talked through so both parties feel their needs voiced and heard. A number of the couples surveyed also advised that young couples wait to get married to ensure that they truly know their partner. Young love can be exhilarating, but it takes time to really know yourself and your significant other.
