As the calendar gets ready to flip from December to January you may have started thinking about your resolutions for the upcoming year: eat healthier, workout more, lose weight. It’s the same every year. Maybe it’s time to add a resolution to the list that you will actually stick with and even enjoy. Here are 7 New Year’s resolutions you should make to help you have better sex this year!
Talk about sex
Sex might not be something you and your spouse talk about all the time, but it should be! Talk to one another about your turn ons and turn offs. Find out your spouse’s sexual fantasies. Learn what new things they want to try or what things they really don’t enjoy. The more openly you discuss sex, the better your sex will be.
Plan more date nights
Remember when you first started dating your spouse? Don’t you wish you could bring back some of that romance? Well, you can! Schedule a date night at least once a week. Whether it’s going out for a nice dinner or just spending an evening at home cuddled up on the couch, schedule time each week to do something nice with your spouse. Just make sure you leave some room for dessert that night!

Touch more
Sex should be more than just getting off. It should be about creating an incredible physical and emotional connection. Spend more time just touching this year. Cuddle in each other’s arms in bed. Give each other a massage. Hold hands while on a walk. Your spouse’s body is an incredible thing. Take some time to explore every inch of it.
Put down the phone!
Your bedroom should be a technology free zone. E-mails and texts can wait. Put down the phone, walk away from the computer, and focus all of your attention on your spouse.
Be adventurous
Don’t be afraid to be a little spontaneous and try new things this year. Take an unplanned weekend trip to the beach, go out dancing on a Tuesday night, have sex in your kitchen. Be fun; be exciting; and create new memories that you’ll never forget.
Be romantic
Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference. Buy your wife flowers. Cook your husband his favorite meal. Whatever it is, do something everyday to remind your spouse how much you love them.
